Job Description:

POSITION:         Brand Ambassador, Single Malts (The Glenrothes,

                                    Bowmore, Glen Grant)

 LOCATIONS:           North East Region with particular focus on New York City

 REPORTS TO:        Senior Brand Manager, Single malts 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Brand Ambassador for Single Malts is a full-time position, dedicated exclusively to a select portfolio of single malt Scotch whisky brands. The Brand Ambassador will manage an assigned group of 50 on-premise accounts and 25 off-premise accounts in their local market.  The position will focus on driving quality distribution, menu placements, staff trainings and specialty events for their assigned brands.   

 REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Brand Ambassador for Single Malts reports directly to the Sr. Brand Manager for Single Malts with a dotted line reporting relationship to an assigned Skyy sales leader in their local market for direction. The position will also work closely with the SKYY distributor teams in the local markets to allow them to effectively support their accounts. 

 KEY ROLES 

  • Build and sustain effective, professional relationships in the local markets with the SKYY sales team, SKYY distributor teams and the assigned on and off-premise customers

 

  • Secure high-quality back-bar distribution targets in assigned accounts

 

  • Develop impactful menu placements to drive brand pull

 

  • Train and educate account staffs and consumers on the assigned brands

 

  • Execute consumer samplings, brand building promotions and special events

 

  • Effectively manage assigned budgets and track and measure program results

 

T & E BUDGETS

Each Ambassador will be provided with an effective annual T & E budget of $15,000 ($1,250 / month) that they will be responsible to monitor and manage.  This budget will cover all job related expenses such as:

  • Mileage

 

  • Cell phone

 

  • Internet

 

  • Parking

 

  • Tolls

 

  • Tips

 

  • POS storage unit

 

  • Account entertainment

 

 
Job Requirements:

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to work independently and to plan their own time and activities

 

  • Willingness to work full-time, non-traditional, late night hours as required

 

  • Passionate about the beverage alcohol industry and the single malt category

 

  • Ability to be expert at multiple brands across the single malt category

 

  • Customer driven and consumer focused

 

  • Can translate strategy into action and make things happen

 

  • Sales ability to influence and partner with customers and co-workers

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • College degree – BA

 

  • On-premise sales, marketing or promotion experience

 

  • Clean driving record and good credit history

 

  • Must be able to provide own transportation to and from accounts and events

 

  • Ability to manage and track budgets

 

  • Demonstrated computer, communication and presentation skills
