Job Description

Position Summary

The role of the Key Account Manager is to:

·         Develop relationships with key on-premise customers to:

o  Drive distribution

o  Improve visibility

o  Activate portfolio in luxury image and volume accounts

o  Raise the profile of the portfolio within the trade and consumer community

o  Generate incremental sales volume

 

Responsibilities

·         Achieve Rémy Cointreau USA performance standards in his/her universe of luxury accounts

·         Support marketing strategy, brand standards and brand programs in his/her universe of luxury accounts

·         Execute wholesaler and bartender education & outreach programs

·         Establish/maintain relationships with bartenders, account managers, and account owners at assigned accounts to facilitate new points of distribution and depletion growth

o   Become the local “face of” Rémy Cointreau USA portfolio

o   Identify/help fill distribution gaps

o   Encourage/facilitate on-going endorsement of Rémy Cointreau USA products to their customers through education and menu placements/drink features

o   Place and refresh Rémy Cointreau USA Point-of-Sale materials in assigned accounts

·         Increase consumer call by promoting and enhancing national/local programs

o   Act as local host of customized on premise promotions for portfolio

o   Participate in PR/media outreach efforts

o   Inform and educate consumers

·         Provide feedback concerning competitive activities and market trends

·         Provide input regarding future marketing plan development

 

Job Requirements

Requirements

·         Sales and/or merchandising experience in the beverage industry

·         Promotion and luxury goods experience preferred

·         Professional, responsible and able to work independently

·         Customer driven and consumer focused

·         Able to translate strategy into action

·         Proactive and solutions oriented

·         Ability to sell, influence and partner with customers and co-workers

·         Passionate about the beverage alcohol industry and the Rémy Cointreau portfolio

·         Articulate, charismatic, engaging and pleasant

·         This role requires evening and weekend coverage on occasion – it is a full-time role with non-standard hours

·         Demonstrated public-speaking, presentation and writing skills

·         Ability to manage budgets and provide timely, concise reporting

·         BA preferred

·         Solid computer skills
