Job Description

The Director of Social Media is the primary person responsible for the development and implementation of the social marketing strategy. They will be both strategic and hands on, have a strong project and team management sensibility and be engaged, tenacious and passionate about delivering outstanding creative ideas and results.  


Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop, deploy, manage and analyze social media resources to create innovative and creative campaigns in support of brand and product
  • Develop and mentor highly functioning communications team while ensuring strong relationships cross functionally
  • Investigate social technologies to uncover opportunities for ongoing growth and innovation
  • Oversee development and management of social media influencer network
  • Create strategic framework and resource allotment recommendations for high activity periods (product launches, brand initiatives, etc.)
  • Develop, communicate and gain business support for comprehensive social media strategy, goals, budget and editorial calendar
  • Develop new and unique strategies to reach and leverage influencers for the brand in social media
  • See that brand voice is developed and maintained in all content
  • Liaise with legal to ensure all communications minimize risk when needed
  • Identify and manage agency counterparts necessary to achieve social marketing objectives
  • Manage annual budget for all social media activities
Job Requirements
  • 7-10 years working in a fast-paced, team environment in a marketing function
  • Proven ability to orchestrate large-scale programs across multiple platforms
  • Experience in delivering integrated social marketing campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications
  • Success in presenting strategic solutions and POVs that engage consumers and build brands
  • Ability to work cross functionally and thrive in an entrepreneurial and results-oriented environment
  • Innate curiosity and aptitude with the ability to see the big picture as well as be hands on
  • Deadline oriented and flexible enough to adjust to new opportunities as they arise
  • Ability to manage heavy workloads and rapidly shift priorities based upon the organizational needs of the brand
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
