Its ultimate goal is to guarantee that our processes, people capabilities, culture, and costs are in service of realizing our exciting business growth ambition.
Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company - a business built on the principles and foundations laid by the giants of the industry. The success of Guinness, Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Tanqueray and many more, over hundreds of years, led to the formation of our company in 1997. And we only thrive today because of the talent of our people to grow our brands, old and new, and keep them strong.
Diageo North America comprises US Spirits, Diageo Beer Company and Diageo Canada. Our unique route to the consumer in the United States is through the three-tier system and we distribute our products through approximately 40 spirits distributors/brokers and 3,000 dedicated distributor sales employees focused on Diageo and more than 400 beer distributors. We directly employ around 2,600 employees and we have nine bottling, distilling, blending and maturation sites.
Fully sponsored by the Company´s President and the North America Executive team, the Business Excellence function is being created in Diageo North America. We are hiring three individuals to lead organization effectiveness and efficiency programs in our Commercial Business Processes, which are split into three main domains: Innovation & Marketing, Commercialization Execution, and Supply.
The director of business excellence Commercialization Execution will lead the definition of the transformation program’s project pipeline by translating the business strategy into process/people capability shifts and also by informing technology investments. The role exists to ensure that we have excellence in our commercial business processes, particularly in Commercialization Execution but without losing sight of the cross-functional interdependency requirements, in support of our ambitious business growth agenda.
She/he will be ultimately accountable for the program pacey execution and delivery of expected business benefits and for investment decisions on training programs required to create a business excellence/continuous improvement culture in the organization.
- This is an individual contributor role that will exert tremendous influence on the whole organization.
- 10-15 years of experience in Business Excellence as a certified MBB in Commercialization/Market-to-Order with successful programs/projects, ideally in more than one area of expertise (for instance Marketing or Supply Chain).
- Experience inline functions.
- Knowledgeable of IT applications and the processes blueprints behind them.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills; experience in planning and executing.
Diageo is the world's leading premium drinks business with an outstanding collection of international brands across spirits, wine and beer. Many of our brands have been around for generations, while some have been developed more recently to meet new consumer tastes and experiences. Our great range of brands and geographic spread means that people can celebrate with our products at every occasion no matter where they are in the world. This is why 'celebrating life every day, everywhere' is at the core of what we do.
Trading in approximately 180 markets, we employ over 20,000 talented people around the world. With offices in 80 countries, we also have manufacturing facilities across the globe including Great Britain, Ireland, United States, Canada, Spain, Italy, Africa, Latin America, Australia, India and the Caribbean. And the people who work for us across these markets really care for the legacy of each of our brands. We want them to be enjoyed by consumers for generations to come, which means we also take our role as a producer of alcohol very seriously. Diageo is at the forefront of industry efforts to promote responsible drinking.
