A Beverage Sales Representative is responsible for working with local distributors and brokers, on and off-premise accounts and spearheading local promotions and special events.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, energetic, creative and ambitious and has experience in beverage industry sales.
This position is important among beverage jobs because sales representative’s are on the ground presenting their brands or portfolios to the key decision makers in the beverage buying business.
Sales Representative Jobs call for the following responsibilities:
- Work with local distributors and brokers to sell brand to retailers
- Collect and maintain an organized list of key territory accounts, including on- and off-premise accounts
- Contact key accounts to review brand program priorities
- Attend on-premise promotional events
- Guide proper shelf management positions and the merchandising of brands so accounts can properly and effectively sell beverages and promote consumer brand awareness
- Hold staff training in on- and off-premise accounts, as required

- Strong beverage industry customer service
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Clear, creative presentation, public speaking and premium selling skills
- Using innovative and creative ways to approach accounts and increase business
- Ability to conceive and execute successful account strategies
- Working independently and as a team player
- Professionalism in working with coworkers who have beverage jobs, distributors, retail representatives and consumers
- Sales or marketing experience, which will be seen as a plus
- Having a valid driver’s license, ownership of a vehicle for business travel and to carry promotional merchandise between accounts in assigned territory
- Ability to use basic features in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint) and Photoshop or Illustrator
