The Corrido is a musical form of Mexican folklore, originating from the late 1800's in the U.S.- Mexico border regions. Evolving during the U.S. Prohibition, the Corrido often honored the tequilero or tequila smugglers, who gained popularity along the border in those turbulent times. Corrido is now "smuggled" (legally of course) into the United States by True Blue Imports, LLC. Corrido is produced at the Corrido "PRASA" distillery in Los Altos region of Jalisco, Mexico, using 100 percent blue agave harvested from the rich volcanic soil. Its portfolio offers CORRIDO Cristalino, award winning blanco and all of the aged tequilas benefit from a highly refined, proprietary, "Single-Barrel" technique, including Corrido Reposado (aged 6 months), Corrido Anejo (aged 18 months) and Corrido Extra Anejo (aged 3 years).
