Beverage District Manager Job Description

A Beverage District Manager is a senior position in the beverage industry responsible for sales, merchandising and promotional activities in core on- and off-premise accounts.

This beverage executive manages day-to-day distributor interaction and is accountable for growing the business in the wholesaler’s territory and securing positive awareness among distributors. This includes growth through displays, distribution, merchandising and sales skill development at all levels of the distribution process.

The district manager position is important among beverage jobs because it is a leadership role within the organization executing systems management for business growth.

District Manager Jobs also call for an individual to be responsible for:

  • Identifying and interpreting beverage industry market trends and how they will affect the marketplace
  • Determining district-wide budget allocations
  • Setting objectives and tactics for accounts and distributors

  • Managing wholesaler to increase new business and follow proper ordering procedures

Among requirements, a Beverage District Manager must have:

  • At least four years of experience in beverage sales, preferably with supplier and wholesaler experience
  • Experience managing multiple wholesalers and beverage jobs employees
  • Experience in overseeing Key Accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast sales, expenses and overall revenue
  • A bachelor’s degree
