Voss USA, Inc. is a 10 -year-old artesian bottled water company based in New York City.  Voss water, bottled and imported from Norway, is coveted for its purity, distinction and sleek packaging design and has set a new standard for the bottled water market. Voss image and awareness have been built through a selective distribution approach using Wine and Spirit wholesalers, which has yielded a luxury brand status that is profitable for all three tiers of its distribution system. Sales have grown and the brand’s national and international footprint continues to expand. The brand momentum and retail expansion plans have necessitated the addition of a focused on-premise role that can continue to grow the brand in a vital core Division in North America (Western USA). The environment is fast-paced and entrepreneurial, and the current senior management team is drawn from various high quality, North American luxury beverage organizations.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for half-month activity monitoring on all bank accounts.   Full-cycle execution of multi-currency accounting validations, inter-company loan and license fee entries, inter-company monthly reconciliations, and other related tasks as directed by Director of Finance.   

The Senior Accountant will also take the lead on month-end marketing and depletion allowance accruals and quarterly reporting, fixed asset maintenance, reconciliations, and general accounting maintenance and analysis.

The Senior Accountant will be the key in implementing:

• A speedier period end close process by:
  • Enhancing accrual process and methodology

• Additional duties will include:
  • Tracking of Spend per Case based on depletions as well as Cases sold, and bill backs paid.
  • Processing of all Freight invoices for Voss Production and be the Accounts Payable backup for processing Voss Group AP invoices in the absence of Plant Accountant.

• Successful Transition of VOSS USA Accounts Payable integration into Navision US Database. (Manual Process, will handle full-cycle AP until improvement initiated)
